Andrea, originally from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, grew up outdoors, at the beach, and connected to nature. As a volleyball player and swimmer, being active has always been an important part of her life. She was first introduced to yoga as a teenager, but became hooked while taking classes in college in New York City. Andrea completed her 200-hour teacher training at Yoga Vida and furthered her studies with a mentorship under Lindsay Hilscher. In 2013 she completed the Kaivalya Yoga Method 100-hour immersion with Alanna Kaivalya.
Andrea is inspired to teach because of the positive impact yoga has had on her life and strives to share that change with others. She feels that yoga can be whatever we make it. Exercise, stress reliever, spiritual practice –yoga is powerful because it has something for everyone and it will always do it’s job. She leads flow classes with concise alignment cues that are challenging, fun, and accessible to all kinds of students.
